My Ride to Jogjakarta PK-GLX

     On 2^nd June 2017, I flew from Jakarta Halim Perdana Kusuma to Jogjakarta with Cititlink Indonesia QG 100. I went to the airport 2 hours prior to departure. Unfortunately there was a congestion before the airport entrance so I have to wait for 20 minutes before entering the airport. My first impression to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport was crowded and chaotic. Many people sound their car horn due to lots of car stopped not in the right place. When I got off from the car I see many people queuing up in front of terminal entrance. I don’t know why even there was a long queue only one officer on duty to check passanger ticket. Same like the terminal entrance, the check in area was crowded too. I have to wait for almost 30 minutes to check in. After pass the security check I went direct to waiting room. Iam not surprised when I see the waiting room was full and very crowded. I decided to wait in coffee shop near from waiting room. I was so corious why today the airport was so full and crowded, so I asked officer why the airport was full and crowded. He said that there was a lot of flight delayed so the passanger start to accumulate at the airport. Shortly after I heard the announcement that my fligt also delayed for almost 1,5 hours.

     The boarding process start at 01.00 PM or 2 hours late from schedule. Today I was flying Airbus 320-200 PK-GLX ,it was the first generation of airbus 320-200 that equipped with sharklet. 2 Flight attendants greet us at the aircraft door. Today I seated at 1F. The seat that have the biggest legroom. Like the other LCC airline if we want to get seat that have bigger legroom we must pay Rp100.000 ($10) more. The seat was so comfortable for tall people like me. The boarding process was fast it only take 10 minutes. The plane start pushback and off we go !. 10 Minutes after take off the flight attendants star to selling food and souvenir. I don’t buy anything because I feel sleepy and start to sleep. I woke up because I heard the flight attendant landing announcement. The plane star decend and land in Jogjakarta at 01.53 PM

     Overall it was pleasant flight. I like how citilink treat the passanger when the plane was delayed. Like not other Indonesia LCC airlines the citilink gave us snack when the plane was delayed more than 1 hour. The flight attendants also very friendly with passanger. Looking forward to fly with this airline soon !
